In previous articles we have talked a lot about how to deal with a gluten-free intolerance – your diet, where to shop, what is safe to eat – but we have rarely discussed what it is like to live with someone with suffering from coeliac.

For instance, with Valentines day just around the corner how can you safely sweep your partner off their feet, without spending the whole time worrying about the restaurant menu?

Sure, you can cook for your partner at home – and we have to confess, there is nothing more romantic than coming home to a specially made meal – but wouldn’t it be fun if you could treat your partner to a meal out, no matter the occasion?

Well we have got some good news…

We have done a little research and found a variety of restaurants across theUKwhich can offer you scrumptious gluten free dishes.

Specialised Gluten Free Restaurants

  1. La Tasca – boasting that their food tastes as good as if you were inSpain itself, you can find their Spanish cuisine all over theUK includingBristol,Glasgow, Maidstone,Portsmouth,London,Aberdeen,Birmingham, Bury St Edmunds, andEdinburgh…
  2. Antibo – known for their Italian cuisine, you can find their restaurants in Leicestershire andNottingham
  3. Notting Grill – offering the crème de la crème of meat and fish, you can find the Notting Grill inLondon
  4. The Manor Restaurant – set in the Old Servants Hall of Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire, you can choose from English, European and French cuisine
  5. Itadakil Zen – toted as Europe’s 1st organic and vegan Japanese restaurant
  6. Hafod Country House -  located in Trefriw inWales, Hafod Country House offers a combination of English and European cuisine
  7. El Piano – situated inYork, El Piano offers a range of International cuisine

There was actually tonnes to choose from, so if you are keen to wow your partner this Valentines Day, why not offer them a carefree restaurant experience by taking them to a gluten free restaurant?

Alternatively, if you’d prefer to whip up a meal at home, then we’ve found a range of gluten free meals which are sure to satisfy:

  1. Sesame & honey tofu with rice noodles
  2. Spiced quinoa with almonds & feta cheese
  3. Roast crispy pork belly with egg fried rice
  4. Beef and potatoes au chocolat
