As you know, we're super proud of our terrifically tasty, award winning meat and, what's more, we know you love it too.

You're probably also aware of the fact we source our scrumptious goodies from all over the UK and the world just to make sure you're getting the very best produce around, after all, we think you deserve the best, but did you know we have access to a select group of very special farms?

We're talking about West Country farms, known for being one of the best parts of Britain for rearing livestock – now that's epic and we want to shout it from the rooftops!

Wondrous West Country

All our West Country meaty treats come from livestock born and reared in either Dorset, Somerset, Devon or Cornwall, so you can be assured of that “Fresh from the West” taste, which is pretty awesome if we don't mind saying so ourselves.

Plus, our farms put their animals first! Their welfare is paramount and all our West Country farmers have been approved by the RSPCA through its Freedom Foods organisation, but that's not all they're noted for…

• 
  Proper Pork – Our Duroc/Hampshire cross pigs are bred in a Freedom Foods endorsed outdoor programme, so these piggies wear their welfare badges with pride!
• Brill Beef – Bearing the Quality Standard mark, our beautiful beef from Brookfield Farm is tantalisingly tender and super tasty too as it's produced to higher standards than required by law.
• Vivid Veal – We listened to your comments and demand for ethically sourced veal and we found just that with Brookfield Farm. Calves are reared in groups with unrestricted access to water, food and straw bedding.

Plus, Brookfield have been awarded numerous welfare accolades like the Good Calf Commendation from Compassion in World Farming, the Quality Standard Veal Award and, most recently, the Sourcing Honours Award for their High Welfare English Veal and the Health and Vitality Honours.

AND, what's even better, they even have Red Tractor Accreditation! This means you can trace all this lovely Brookfield produce right back to its origin guaranteeing you top quality nosh.

Each and every critical step in the food supply chain is inspected, checked and checked again to “ensure food is produced to quality standards.”

Of course, we're not limited to Brookfield's super tasty products but all our meaty goodies have been sourced with the highest possible animal welfare standards in mind and, ultimately, taste and welfare is what matters to us most.
